The skill file
What is the Copywriting skill?
The Copywriting skill is how Moonrank's Writer Agent turns an offer into copy that sells: mining the customer's exact language, ranking their pains, translating features into outcomes, and refusing to publish a claim without proof beside it.
It's written as a SKILL.md, a plain-language instruction format that people and AI agents can both follow. Read it to rewrite your own pages, use it as a review checklist for anything your team ships, or let the Writer Agent draft against it directly.
Downloading the playbook is free with a Moonrank account. Applying it to every page, email, and description you publish is what the Writer Agent does continuously.
See it in action
“Our product page explains everything we do and converts at under 1%. What's wrong with it?”
The page makes 14 claims and proves 2 of them. It says "seamless" three times — a word that appears in zero of your 87 reviews, while "set it up in one evening" appears in 9. Cut the 12 unproven claims, lead with the setup-time language your customers already use, and put your two real proof points — the 4.8 rating and the named-customer result — next to the claims they support instead of in a logo bar.
From input to fix list
- 1
You provide the offer and the action
What you sell, who it's for, and the one thing the copy must make happen.
- 2
Moonrank mines the language
Exact phrases pulled from reviews, tickets, and calls — the words that already convert.
- 3
It builds claim–proof pairs
Features become outcomes, and every claim gets a number, name, or demonstration beside it.
- 4
It cuts to one action
Objections answered in-line, decoration deleted, and a single CTA left standing.
Everything it checks
Voice-of-customer bank
Exact phrases mined from reviews, tickets, and calls, with sources attached.
Pain ranking
What the reader is escaping, ordered by intensity — the copy leads with the sharpest.
Feature translation
Every feature pushed through "which means that…" until it reaches money.
Claim–proof pairs
No claim ships without a number, a named customer, or a demonstration beside it.
In-line objection handling
The top three hesitations answered where they occur, not parked in an FAQ.
Single-action edit
Every sentence moves the reader toward one CTA, or it's cut.
When to reach for it
- Rewrite a page that describes the product but doesn't sell it.
- Replace adjective-heavy copy with the customer's own words.
- Audit existing pages for claims that have no proof beside them.
- Give a team one standard for what publishable copy means.
- Turn reviews and support tickets into copy raw material.
