Vector Entities skill

The playbook Moonrank's GEO Agent uses to decide what actually has to be inside a page for a retrieval system to choose it — and remember it.

About this skill

What is the Vector Entities skill?

The Vector Entities skill is how Moonrank's GEO Agent works out what a page must contain to be selected by a system that compares meaning rather than matching strings. It produces four columns of ten: the technical entities that are the entry ticket, the quantified proof that raises a model's confidence, the formats the intent expects, and the expert concepts almost nobody includes.

The fourth column is the one that matters most and is hardest to fake. Its test is simple: if a competitor could copy the concept in five minutes, it isn't divergence. Real divergence comes from your own data, your own delivery and your own failures — which is exactly why it makes a model retain your page rather than average it into everyone else's.

It's written as a SKILL.md, a plain-language instruction format that people and AI agents can both follow. Read it as the input to a brief, hand it to a writer, or let the GEO Agent produce it for a target query.

Example

See it in action

You ask

“This page ranks in the top five but never gets quoted in AI answers. What's missing?”

Agent does

Everything on it is base vocabulary — you have the entry ticket and nothing beyond it. There is not a single quantified proof on the page: eleven claims, all adjectives, none with a figure or a source. There is also no comparison table, which is the format this query's intent expects and all three cited competitors carry. And nothing on the page is unavailable elsewhere, so a model has no reason to retain yours specifically.

How it works

From input to fix list

  1. 1

    You give the target query

The query, its intent type, and how expert the audience is.

  2. 2

    Moonrank builds four columns

Ten technical entities, ten quantified proofs, ten formats, ten divergence concepts.

  3. 3

    It runs the gap analysis

What competitors have that you lack, and what nobody has claimed yet.

  4. 4

    It says where each goes

Placement in the page structure, integrated as prose rather than pasted as a list.

What's included

Everything it checks

Base entity mapping

The vocabulary present on over 80% of ranking pages — the entry ticket.

Quantified proof format

Figure plus unit plus context, with a real source behind each one.

Multimodal expectations

The diagrams, tables, tools and video the query's intent implies.

The divergence test

A five-minute rule that separates real expertise from repackaged commonplaces.

Competitive gap analysis

Missing entities, unclaimed opportunities, and the quick wins between them.

Placement guidance

Where each group belongs, and how to integrate it without keyword stuffing.

Use cases

When to reach for it

  • Diagnose a page that ranks but is never quoted.
  • Build the input a content brief actually needs.
  • Find the expert angle no competitor has claimed.
  • Replace adjectives with sourced figures across a page.
  • See which expected format your page is missing.
Questions

Frequently asked questions

It's the GEO methodology Moonrank's GEO Agent follows — written out step by step, so you can read exactly how the work gets done rather than trusting a black box.

A plain-language instruction file that both people and AI agents can follow. Open it in any editor, paste it into Claude or ChatGPT, or drop it into an agent framework that reads skill files.

Yes. Every skill file is free with a Moonrank account — we ask for an email, not a credit card. Running the skill continuously against your site is what the paid product does.

Absolutely. The file is yours to adapt. Hand it to your team as a standard, run it manually, or point your own agent at it. Nothing in it depends on our platform.

The GEO Agent runs this methodology against your site on a schedule, prioritizes what it finds, and ships copy-ready fixes — no manual runs, no downloads to manage.
