Programmatic SEO skill
The playbook Moonrank's SEO Agent uses to generate hundreds or thousands of high-quality, indexable pages from structured data — without tripping the thin-content filters that sink lazy launches.

What is the Programmatic SEO skill?
The Programmatic SEO skill is how Moonrank's SEO Agent turns a dataset into a page for every variation of a query pattern: validating demand, setting a hard cut line on data completeness, and rolling out in measured tranches instead of one risky launch.
It's written as a SKILL.md, a plain-language instruction format that people and AI agents can both follow. Read it to plan your own launch, use it to scope the build with your developers, or let the SEO Agent design the page spec and monitor the rollout.
Downloading the playbook is free with a Moonrank account. Watching indexation tranche by tranche and pruning the pages that don't earn their place is what the SEO Agent keeps doing after launch.
See it in action
“We have data on 2,000 integrations. Should we generate a page for each?”
No — 2,000 pages would be the mistake. Only 740 integrations have enough data to fill the template, and 310 of those have measurable search demand. Ship those 310 in three tranches, starting with the 120 highest-volume, and hold the next tranche until indexation clears 80%. The other 1,690 rows stay in the dataset until they earn a page.
From input to fix list
- 1
You provide the dataset and pattern
The structured data you hold, and the query pattern the pages will target.
- 2
Moonrank validates demand and sets the cut line
Search volume checked per variation; a page ships only when its data fills the template.
- 3
It specs pages built for uniqueness
Sections, titles, descriptions, and schema generated from each row's own data.
- 4
It rolls out in tranches and watches
Batches ship one at a time, gated on indexation and impressions before the next.
Everything it checks
Pattern demand validation
Proof of search volume across the variations, not just at the head term.
Data-completeness cut line
A hard threshold below which no page ships — no data, no page.
Uniqueness by design
A page spec where each variation carries substance the others don't.
Templated on-page and schema
Unique titles, descriptions, H1s, and JSON-LD generated per row.
Internal link mesh
Hubs and cross-links keeping every generated page within three clicks.
Tranche rollout with kill criteria
Indexation and impressions gate each batch; below the bar, shipping stops.
When to reach for it
- Own a query pattern with a page for every variation worth having.
- Turn a proprietary dataset into indexable, defensible pages.
- Rescue a past programmatic launch that Google refuses to index.
- Decide how many of 2,000 possible pages actually deserve to exist.
- Launch at scale without betting the domain's reputation on one deploy.
